Tibetan Ring by Jeffrey Everett
Modeled in Rhino, rendered in Flamingo.

It was a difficult job getting a water-tight model because there are so many complex surfaces. It took me almost a month, working part time. The final outcome was spectacular though. I still have to thicken it up for production, but the preliminary wax model produced by M2Systems (complementary, thanks guys) is quite impressive. I see modeling in NURBS (Rhino of course) and production via 3D printing as the future of jewelry modeling. No way could I make this piece by hand, and I've been making jewelry for over 30 years.
